(338 words) The poetry of Nekrasov delights every conscious person who knows the history of his country. His works introduced a progressive trend in public opinion, changed it, and over time, people realized the need for changes in an unfair social system. An example of such a poem can be called "Reflections at the front door."
At the beginning of the poem, the main entrance is described. On festive days noble guests leave this house, and on other days the “magnificent” entrance is besieged by the poor: dreamers, travelers, old people and a widow. Some come on business, others with requests. After the author says that he once saw “peasant” peasants coming up to the porch. The doorman came out. Hope and torment was on the faces of those asking, but, having examined their wretched appearance, he hears the order to drive them away. So he does. "Hopelessly shaking hands," the men repeated one phrase: "Judge his god." The author describes with pity the poor fellow who leave "scorching the sun" with their heads uncovered. And immediately he turns to the owner of that house and the like, who live in luxury and think only of themselves, urging them to awaken. The poet asks to return those poor people, but realizes that this will not happen, since “happy people are deaf to good,” they only need to live and die “with glory”. Describes the old age of the nobleman under the sky of Sicily, the death of which all his relatives are looking forward to. After his remains will be returned back to his homeland, where in the grave he will be a "hero". Such people should not be disturbed by "small" people, the poet writes sarcastically. Their philosophy is that the “Russian man” is already accustomed to suffering, and wherever he goes, he publishes only a “moan”. The author notes that even in the spring the Volga floods the fields less than sorrow fills our land. The grieving groan of the people merges into a “song”, so at the end the poet asks if it is all over and she will never shut up? The main idea of the work is, in my opinion, the hope that Nekrasov conveys to the reader: Russia will rise from sleep and cast off the shackles of the masters of life!
My impression of the work is enthusiastic, because I, like a poet, believe in the happy future of Russia, but so far I see a lot of injustice in its path. However, the fact that we all see her means that she did not have long to reign as an obstacle in our way. The Russian people will overcome everything.
