(390 words) It happens that circumstances force a person to be cruel. He simply has no choice, because in another way and behavior he cannot achieve a solution to a very important problem. Therefore, I believe that anger and aggression can be forced under certain conditions. To more accurately describe them, I will give literary examples.
In the novel by A. S. Pushkin “Dubrovsky”, the hero lost his father and all his property because of a neighbor who, through his influence, won a lawsuit in court and appropriated the estate and village. Now Vladimir had no choice but to take revenge. He could neither study, serve, nor engage in farming, because everything was taken from him, and it was completely unfair. How to make a living? The hero decides to become a robber and assemble a gang to avenge the neighboring landowners, but the most important thing is to find and punish his enemy, responsible for all his troubles. The first step on the new path was the arson of the estate, where judicial officials spent the night, who made an illegal decision to transfer the property of Dubrovsky. Then the young man began to attack the wealthy inhabitants of this corner and pass the loot to the poor. All these actions were cruel, but forced: Vladimir was robbed and humiliated by Troekurov, he had no other choice.
In addition, cruelty is forced into war, when most people do not want to fight, but they are forced by the government or the need to defend themselves. In B. Vasiliev’s work “Dawns Here Are Quiet,” young girls kill soldiers on the other side, and men attack defenseless women. The war distorted their ideas of honor and conscience, now they live by different rules, and there is no more sex or age, there are only enemies and allies. The heroines would never raise a hand against foreigners, but they forced them to do this, because every girl came to avenge her losses, her land. Each of them wanted to protect themselves and their future. The Germans have the same situation: they would never begin to kill women, fight with them, but they have an order, and it must be followed, otherwise they will get to the tribunal and go to the wall themselves. Thus, the cruelty of the heroes is compelled; circumstances left them no choice.
This means that war in a global and personal sense forces a person to become hardened and respond with blow to blow. The struggle leaves them no choice, they have to accept the conditions of the duel with fate or even leave the battlefield. Often, people's life and the fate of their family and land depend on the ability of people to repulse the enemy, so cruelty very often becomes a necessary and extreme measure in the battle for survival.
